The Blake Rapid process was invented by Lyman Reed Blake in 1858 and immediately achieved great success, especially in Italy where it is still among the most used processes today. Its genius lies in the double "Blake" stitching that joins the upper, the insole, the lining and the midsole, while the "Rapid" puts the midsole and sole together, increasing the shoe's resistance and waterproofness. This makes the sole comfortable, yet durable.

The animal leather we use is a by-product of the meat and dairy industry. Instead of being discarded and becoming waste, leather is recovered and transformed into a durable, high-quality material.
