Initially, the outer surface of the skin is gently removed. What remains is the underlying layer, which is then subjected to tanning, dyeing and finally sanding. This process not only guarantees the durability and resistance of the material but also enhances its appearance, giving it that characteristic soft and matte finish that makes it so appreciated in high fashion and in the production of luxury footwear.

There are thousands of types of shoes on the market but the essential parts that compose them are always two: the upper, i.e. the upper part, and the bottom, i.e. the set of components that are placed between the foot and the ground. The type of workmanship often differs in the fixing technique, the union between the upper and the bottom. In Ciccone sneakers we use the "cassette" process: we sew the edge of the bottom to the upper in order to obtain excellent robustness, reducing the risk of the upper coming off over time.

The animal leather we use is a by-product of the meat and dairy industry. Instead of being discarded and becoming waste, leather is recovered and transformed into a durable, high-quality material. This approach reduces waste and enhances every part of the animal, promoting a more efficient and less impactful production cycle. This motivation, combined with its durability and ability to be repaired, make animal skin the most sustainable material that can be used to make shoes. This is what we believe in!
