Descrizione

The Loafer it can't be missing from your wardrobe, period. Our version is called Messina: a classic in suede short haired which pays homage to the beauty of the city on the strait. It's our idea of a comfortable shoe: we've removed everything that isn't needed to leave you only the substance and quality of those who actually make the shoes, with their hands dirty with glue and their apron on in our workshop.

Don't just call it "suede": wrinkle-free beauty

Here we don't use light crusts. Ours suede it is compact and, above all, It doesn't make those ugly creases of flex you see on cheap shoes.
And if you think it's a shoe just for the sun, you're wrong: during the creation phase we do a treatment that makes it totally water repellent. It is not afraid of water, it is not afraid of humidity and it remains soft over time. An investment for the whole year, not just to make a good impression on the beach.

What's inside (because comfort is not optional)

In our laboratory we know that a beautiful but uncomfortable shoe ends up at the back of the wardrobe. This is why Messina is like this:

  • Genuine calfskin lining: No synthetic materials. We only use high quality calf lining to let your foot breathe. Stay dry and at the right temperature, whether it's sunny or rainy outside.
  • leather sole with TPU clip: The sole is leather, elegant, but we put some TPU clip. It is a technical material that never gives up: so you have the necessary grip and the class of a Loafer artisanal.
  • Removable insole: As with all our footwear, the footbed can be removed. You can clean or replace it with your orthopedist if you have one. Tailored comfort, without fuss.

Suede

Suede, commonly known as suede, is a highly prized and distinctive type of leather, famous for its incredible softness and velvet-like texture. This material does not derive from chamois leather, as the name might suggest, but is the result of a meticulous and refined manufacturing process.
Initially, the outer surface of the skin is gently removed. What remains is the underlying layer, which is then subjected to tanning, dyeing and finally sanding. This process not only guarantees the durability and resistance of the material but also enhances its appearance, giving it that characteristic soft and matte finish that makes it so appreciated in high fashion and in the production of luxury footwear.
Suede is therefore a style choice for those seeking a balance between elegance and comfort, offering a touch of timeless class to every item in which it is used

Leather with non-slip rubber clip

Leather is a resistant, hygienic, durable and reusable material. Its characteristics remain unchanged for a long time and the passing of time helps to make it more aesthetically beautiful. Anti-slip rubber clips are injected into the leather of the sole which allow the breathability properties of the leather to be maintained without fearing the rain: this is how the iconic Ciccone sole was born.

Blake Rapid processing

The Blake Rapid process was invented by Lyman Reed Blake in 1858 and immediately achieved great success, especially in Italy where it is still among the most used processes today. Its genius lies in the double "Blake" stitching that joins the upper, the insole, the lining and the midsole, while the "Rapid" puts the midsole and sole together, increasing the shoe's resistance and waterproofness. This makes the sole comfortable, yet durable.

How to take care of it

To keep your suede shoes looking their best, we recommend following these simple instructions:

Cleaning: Use one toothbrush with brass bristles to remove dust or small stains. If necessary, in case of obvious dirt, wash with the Ciccone shampoo dedicated.

Protection: Periodically use a waterproofing product such asACQUASHOES Allows you to protect your shoes from moisture and stains
Conservation: Store your shoes in a dry place and away from direct heat sources. The ideal would be to use the shoe tree made of cedar wood to maintain the original shape.

Duration: To increase their durability I recommend that you always alternate the shoes you wear and in case of rain, wait for them to dry completely before putting your wet shoes back on.

Slow Foot

We believe in the movement Slow Foot: a shoe should not be an object of rapid consumption, but a travel companion to be looked after.

  • Circular Economy: We use reclaimed animal leather as by-product of the food industry, transforming the waste into a noble and durable material.
  • Against waste: We value every resource through a conscious upcycling, promoting a low impact production cycle.
  • Extreme durability: The combination of natural and total origin repairability makes real leather, for us, the true sustainability.

This is what we believe in!
