Masters from 1980

Masters Ciccone

This story does not begin with “Once upon a time…” but with “How it used to be done…”. Because, unlike many other stories, this is a story made of actions before words. It is a story that takes its first steps between Abruzzo and the Marche, in the ancient upper factory of the Ciccone family. It is a story that intertwines the values of craftsmanship with the qualities of the new world, just as shoelaces are intertwined, essential for not falling to the ground. It is the story of a shoemaker who turned an ancient profession into a new job, through an exclusive service in step with the times. It's a story that starts with the soles and ends with a handshake.

Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship is the hallmark. Each pair of shoes is shaped with skill and dedication, testifying to the commitment to manual creation and artisanal excellence.

High quality materials

Every detail, from the selection of materials to the workmanship, is executed with care and attention, ensuring high-quality shoes that meet the highest standards of excellence.

Tradition

Tradition is the foundation on which Maestri Ciccone stands. With a deep respect for ancient Italian artisan techniques, we honor the past as we look to the future.

Innovation

The Ciccone Masters' ability to combine tradition with innovative and modern solutions.

OUR HISTORY

Le origins

If we could give a color to this story, it would probably be that of the Marche hills at sunset, where the secret of the color of sandalwood is kept. In this corner of the heart of Italy, mother Loreta, known as Rita, was born and raised, sewing uppers at home, as all the women in the area did. The same upper that you then found in the footwear for which we are loved all over the world.

The enormous wealth of knowledge led Rita, in 1980, to found together with her husband Antonio, known as Tonì, what would become the Ciccone family's upper factory.

OUR HISTORY

The Master goes to school

While Matteo obtains his diploma as a nautical technician in Ortona, the first competitors begin to arrive from the East.

The doors of the upper factory in Via Tiburtina are shaking, sales are dropping, and so is the workforce. Meanwhile, Matteo begins university in L'Aquila, but another idea is taking shape in his mind. It is a thought that carries a scent, that of leather and hides from ancient tanneries.

OUR HISTORY

The evolution of Master

Matteo is an usher at the university of Pescara. One day, however, he says to his mother: "I'm going to see this shop that makes sandals in Francavilla".

Thus, in 2006, at just 21 years old, Matteo worked side by side with a Master from Sorrento. Here, moved by the curiosity of a child, he learns everything there is to know about sandal making. Back home he decides to put his dream to the test. And like any self-respecting true genius, he starts from a garage. In the Rancitelli neighborhood he opens the shutters of his first shop, where he begins producing tailor-made Capri sandals.

OUR HISTORY

Train Pescara-Milan

After a couple of glorious years spent making sandals, Matteo moved to Milan, where in 2014 he shared an apartment in the Città Studi area with six other recently graduated engineers. A strong bond is created right from the start. In the eyes of the children you can read the enthusiasm for Matteo's story. So, all six, a few years later, decide to help him exhibit at the 2015 edition of the Fuorisalone in Via Ventura in Lambrate.

Everyone invents and reinvents themselves by covering different roles, from the photographer to the marketing manager. The success was explosive: Ciccone and his six engineer friends sold more than a hundred sandals in a few days.

OUR HISTORY

It opens Shop!

After the Fuorisalone experience, Matteo understands that he needs a place to try out his sandals. There is a long road ahead, so start drawing up a business plan. Meanwhile, some of his engineer friends have taken different paths.

With his friends remaining by his side, in 2017, he decided to take over an old shoe shop in Via Albani. Everyone gets to work independently, no one is afraid to get their hands dirty. Three remain: Matteo, Stefano and Alberto. In July 2019 they founded Ciccone srl and, a few months later, they opened the doors of the second store in Missori where the first collections of men's shoes were born. The story of the new Ciccone is born, which is yet to be written

It's the first time I've purchased handmade shoes, and I would say that these from the Maestri Ciccione shoe shop in my very humble opinion are of excellent quality and have not disappointed my expectations, I would say that I will continue to purchase from them!
😊 I recommend them.

Dear maestro Ciccone, you are number one! Excellent work, the ankle boots with the new Vibram tank are better than new!
