Belt size guide: how to choose the right size

The sizes of Ciccone belts correspond to Italian trouser sizes: if you wear one size 50 trousers, you can choose one belt size 50.

If you want to be more precise, you can use a tape measure, measure your waist circumference and follow the table below.

1. Start with the pants

If you know your Italian trouser size, choose the same Ciccone belt size.

2. Measure your waist size

Measure where you normally wear the belt, without tightening the tape too much.

3. Aim for the third hole

The belt should ideally close on the central hole, with two holes before and two after.

How to measure your waist size to choose your belt

To choose the correct belt size, measure where you normally wear your trousers with a tape measure. The measuring tape must follow the body naturally, without being too tight. If you get an in-between size, choose the next size up.

Measure the waist size where you normally wear your seat belt.
Don't pull the tape measure too much: the size must be comfortable.
If you are between two measures, round up.
Compare the result with the belt size chart.

Because the belt should close at the third hole

According to a rule of good sartorial taste, the belt should ideally close on third hole, that is, on the central hole. This way they remain approx two holes before and two holes after to adjust it better over time, without the belt being too short or too long.

The third hole in the belt it is also the one that gives the tidiest effect: the final part of the belt remains proportionate, passes correctly through the first belt loop of the trousers and does not create too much excess skin on the side.
