When the Tod's group launched the Hogan Interactive, the concept of luxury sneakers “made in Italy” changed forever. The upper in full-grain leather, the chunky but elegant profile and the patented multi-layered sole made this model an instant classic, capable of spanning over twenty years of fashion without losing appeal.

Today, from Masters Ciccone, we transform the wear and tear of time into a new beginning for your Interactive with a complete restoration that faithfully replicates factory specifications.

 Removing the old sole

• We carefully remove the original tread using temperature-controlled heat guns and Teflon spatulas, so as not to stress the leather of the upper.

• The adhesive residue is eliminated with slowly evaporating solvents, so the surface becomes perfectly clean and ready for the new adhesive layers.

 Application of the new Hogan-style sole

• We apply primer and two-component Poly-Fast, identical in viscosity to the factory glue.

• The compatible aftermarket sole is first heated to 60 °C to match the curvature, then pressure glued with membrane press.

• Hand finishing of the edges with micro-mill and 600/800 paper; finally, brushing to satin gloss.

Historical curiosities about Hogan Interactive

• The first Interactive (FW 1997) weighed 425 g: 20 % less than its competitors from the late 1990s.

• The original sole was developed in collaboration with Vibram and featured micro-air bubbles to increase cushion.

• In 2004 the “Interactive 3” variant debuted with the H logo in tone-on-tone suede, today one of the most frequent requests in the shop.
