1. What is the difference between Soletta Ciccone Classica and Soletta Ciccone Sportiva?
The Classic Ciccone insole it is flatter and thinner: it is designed for elegant shoes, Loafers and footwear where internal space is limited. The Ciccone Sport insole it is slightly higher and more shock-absorbing: it is more suitable for sneakers and casual shoes when you are looking for a softer support sensation.
2. What material are Ciccone Insoles made of?
They are made with a stainless steel surface calfskin, similar to the one we use for the linings of our shoes, and with an underlying layer made of latex. The leather offers a natural and breathable contact, while the latex helps to soften the fit.
3. Are they orthopedic insoles?
No. Ciccone Insoles are comfort accessories, not medical devices and not orthopedic insoles. They serve to renew the inside of the shoe and make the fit more pleasant, but they do not replace a specialist evaluation in case of foot problems or postural needs.
4. What sizes are available in?
Ciccone Insoles are available from size 35 to size 47, including half measures. This allows you to choose a more precise measurement and avoid, when possible, excessive cuts or adaptations.
5. Can I use them in any shoe?
It depends on the internal space. The version Classic is more suitable for shoes with little volume, while the version Sporty it requires a little more space because it is taller and more shock-absorbing. Before purchasing we recommend checking that the shoe does not become too tight.
6. Why is it recommended to remove insoles in the evening?
In general we always recommend remove insoles from shoes in the evening, especially after a full day of use. In this way the shoe breathes better, internal humidity evaporates more easily and both the insole and the lining of the shoe remain in better condition for longer.
7. Can leather release some color on socks?
Yes, it can happen, especially with white or very light socks. It is not necessarily a defect: it is often the sign of a skin treated in a less covering way, chosen to better maintain porosity and breathability. We do not use finishes that are too plastic or heavy and aggressive fixatives, because they could close the pores of the leather. For this reason, in some cases, a small color migration may occur; normally the color goes away when washing the socks.
8. How are Ciccone insoles cleaned?
We recommend delicate cleaning with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding washing machines, immersion in water and direct heat sources. After cleaning, let the insole air dry outside the shoe.
9. When is it best to replace an insole?
It is best to replace it when the original insole is worn, hardened, stained, deformed or has lost comfort. A new insole can greatly improve the internal feel of the shoe, especially on frequently used shoes.
10. Which version do I choose for sneakers and casual shoes?
For sneakers and casual shoes we generally recommend the version Sporty, because it is higher and more shock-absorbing. However, if the shoe is already very precise or narrow, this version may be more suitable Classic, thinner and less invasive.
